Portraiture is one of my favorite mediums of my photography world. I enjoy it because of the creativity and skill that is needed for a successful portrait. I would say the most important component of the shoot is the psychological aspect. One must be skilled as an artist to engage a client and make them feel at ease to ensure natural expressions. How one does this is not a definitive technique; it's mostly a matter of experience that enables the photographer to achieve the true personality of the subject. Regarding the creative component, the styling of the shoot is just as important as good lighting....
