Portraiture is one of my favorite mediums of my photography world. I enjoy it because of the creativity and skill that is needed for a successful portrait. I would say the most important component of the shoot is the psychological aspect. One must be skilled as an artist to engage a client and make them feel at ease to ensure natural expressions. How one does this is not a definitive technique; it's mostly a matter of experience that enables the photographer to achieve the true personality of the subject.
